7/01/2008: 14U - Message from Coach Danny: Schedule for the Queen of the Hill tournament in Richmond, this weekend - 4-6 July::: Our first game on Friday is 2pm at Glenn Allen Field 1 vs Va Lady Eagles, 5:30 vs Wake Forest Rockers at Glenn Allen field 2, 7:00 Cove Creek Blitz at Glenn Allen Field 2, SATURDAY GAMES 8:00 AM At Glenn Allen field 1 vs Glenn Allen Blitz, 11:00 am South Side Sting at Glenn Allen field 2, 4:00 pm vs Orion Hunter at Glenn Allen field 2. After Friday and Saturday pool play: the top 12 teams will be put in Gold Bracket and bottom 13 will be put in Silver Bracket, then double elimination begins on Sunday. Go to softballnation.com look to the left side and click on Queen of the Hill, it will give you directions to the fields. We are playing all our games Friday and Saturday at the Glenn Allen fields. (Can also click on driving directions above for the Glenn Allen softball complex). Since our first game on Friday starts at 2:00 pm you need to be there and ready to go at 1:00, we will wear our Sunday uniform on Friday, any questions please let me know. See you all at practice, on Wednesday, at Peasley at 6:00, need everyone there so we can get ready for this tournament.

6/23/2008 - Message from Fundraising Chairman: For those of you that don't know, we have the tickets ..we do.. and we need to SELL them.. This is to date our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year.. We have 200 tickets to sell and so far I have handed out 78 to some of you and 28 to the 12U team.. WE really have to sell the remaining tickets. Outback is donating the WHOLE dinner to us. We have a potential profit here of $3000.00 (less the 28 12U tickets) Dinner is a buffet consisting of Steak, chicken. baked potato, salad, and a dinner roll, Water and Tea, sweet and unsweet. $3000 is alot of money to use if we want to continue to do these tournaments. I am asking all of you to try VERY hard to sell some more of these tickets. I have attached a flyer .. you can print it out and pass them out with the tickets if you would like.. I will also be contacting the radio station later this week. I don't want it to have to come to door to door sales but that will be the only option if I still have these tickets in my hand next weekend. If that happens I will need the girls to get together so we can group them in neighborhoods to get these tickets sold.
